Its a new year, does anyone bother to make any resolutions nowadays!!!
I dont think i've made any as such but I do have a list of things I'd like to do, get done/finished/begun, just making quality family/partner time etc

I haven't actually written mine down anywhere for anyone to hold me to them yet so here goes:

1. To see more of my family and friends who live in Yorkshire and further afield.
2. To do more things together as a family of four.
3.To keep on top of the Christmas cards this year and not leave them all to the last minute. (I have made one already!)
4, to be more organised in general resolutions anyone! Icon_biggrin

Don't know whether I deserve it or not but I certainly need it!!

I don't actually believe in making resolutions like this as I have always felt in the past that I have let myself and others down when you don't acheive them, so haven't made any in years. I do occasionally think what I would make though and it's always the same: try and be more organised, try to lose weight, try to keep the house tidier and the ironing pile not so tall, try not to leave christmas cards to the last minute etc etc

Never mind - without something (or the same thing) to strive for, how dull life would be!! But I REFUSE to beat myself up over it anymore.

I have a list
Personal, Home and Crafting
That way I see what my golas are for the year and work with them.
Resolutions! no way I tried that, didn't work so I go with goals that are acheivable.

My list is on my blog but briefly consists of:
-lose weight (I lost a stone last year 7lb to go!)
- keep my crafting area tidy so I actually have room to craft
- do at least one scrapbook page a week
- get my photo albums up to date
- keep on top of the cleaning

I must admit apart from quick checks on certain sites I'm trying to reduce my time on here too, although when I uploading to my online stores they can take a far bit of time, and the running of the forum and design teams, but I am going to try and cut my time in half Smile wish me luck lol
Weight defo the same issue with me, I dare say it is with everyone. Off to the gym after dinner Smile

Apart from the resolution not to make any resolutions:
I will tidy my craft room (doh I did that, new Billy bookcases, well it needs a bit more tidying),
Will try and eat less chocolate and walk more,
Will try and make more cards and other things....

its not really a resolution, its just sort of coincided with the start of the year. I have started using our home composting bin again. We had them free off the council 9 years ago. We did it for a few years and not sure why we stopped. My son has some worms left from fishing and they are the sort you buy for composters, so i thought i would re start it up and in a few months they can have a bigger home. They are happy in their dark box at the moment and have reproduced What a Face

I never managed to keep the worms alive, DH gave it away in the end after a lot of trying and new worms! They said I ate too much fruit and veg!

You need to add all your scraps of paper and card and scrunched up newspaper Cazzy so that you get a good mix of "greens and browns". I've never had to add worms to mine they came on their own! Very Happy

I have a composter outside that is fine and is teeming with worms, it was the fully enclosed one that makes liquid you drain off and was supposed to be non smelly so you could even keep in indoors. They were supposed to eat cooked food even meat eventually.
I bought it reduced from a Council offer, had the worms replaced free a couple of times, bought more, shared with a work colleague who made her own version of the wormery which was very successful. You are right, if I had put in cardboard and paper it would have helped, I think I did put it in but as instructed, I should have put more. It was years ago so is a bit hazy now.
