Think I just found a bit of the light bulb that exploded and have a piece of kitchen paper towel wrapped round my finger soaking up the blood. Bit awkward to type Icon_cry Right I have ditched the towel now, unless it starts bleeding again.

Yesterday I managed to whack myself hard near my eye, eyebrow area and side of eye socket, with the freezer door, don't ask - I can manage it quite easily! I think I am going to have a real shiner soon, still painful and have applied arnica cream hoping it will help.

Haven't been to work apart from an hour on Monday, heating was broke, they fixed the heating and then found out there was no oil so it wasn't getting hot! Oil was delivered yesterday but at lunchtime I was told it was 16 degrees so didn't go in. Then woke to thick snow this morning and decided I wouldn't go in until I had found out if any colleagues had made it without problems from my neck of the woods. But then I got a call from work saying not to come in and could I contact my team to tell them, those that went in were being sent home.

ouch,Your eye sounds very painful, at least it never went in your eye. Do you still get paid if your work is closed? We have got away lightly with the snow here in Coventry. Anj x x

Oh Cazzy, these things always seem to happen to you! Hope your finger and eye are ok.

Ellie has gone back to school today but Josh's is still shut because of the ice and snow. I need to take the dog out and then Josh and I are going to walk to the little Tesco up the road to get supplies as our Tesco delivery has been cancelled twice now. I can't say I blame them but it means we have no food!

I'm just taking 5 mins to warm up though before I go out again as my toes have gone numb from taking Ellie to school. I have now added another pair of socks so I have 3 pairs on now, plus a layer of thermals but boy is it cold out there today!

Stay warm everyone! Bit awkward to type Icon_sunny

Oh Cazzy poor you, but don't worry! Bit awkward to type Herz You'll soon be ok as it's usually me that something goes wrong to!! Bit awkward to type Fresse Every January I say, okay, what can go wrong this year!!! The splint 'should' be coming off my finger on Friday if I can get in, with all this snow! My sun roof leaks so I have long icicles INSIDE my car! Hubby says I should be more possitive, I am I say!! I'm possitive one of them there icicle is going to drop off and stab me!! Happy New Year everyone and let's all be possitive that this year will be a fabulous crafty one!!!

You could charge people to see your icicles. My ankle hurts today which I think was due to slipping off a kerb when walking the dogs Tuesday, and before Christmas I had that awful thing of losing my balance trying to walk through the gap in craft stuff and fell in a sort of squatting position with crossed ankles beneath me, and had to shout for help (hence the craft room makeover!).
My son wouldn't let me get the beef out at Christmas this year as last year I burned my hand badly and had to go to the minor injuries unit after the Christmas meal that I was dishing up!

Definately sounds like a good idea Bit awkward to type Icon_lol Bit awkward to type Icon_farao (couldn't find a mummy - will this do?)

I got sent home from work yesterday but not because of the snow but because I'm poorly - have a viral chest infection that has been getting worse. Phil is still off with his chest infection and I don't expect him to go back till mid next week.

I took Phil's 4x4 to work a couple of days just incase the weather turned bad but really we have had very little - it seems to be skirting round us.

Oh Cazzy, and I thought I was accident prone! I seem to have got more clumsy since i had Alex...I guess it could be the tiredness, but I seem to be constantly sporting two or more bruises. I have a fantastic shiner on my left thigh from walking into the stair gate and my knuckles on my right hand are somewhat swollen from bumping my hand against the door frame. Only got myself to blame.

Hope everyone's feeling a lot better, the snow's started to go here, and most of the roads are clear but I hate driving in it! I can at last get into my car, although the icicles inside weren't very inviting! Then I thought of Cazzy in bubble wrap and found some to put on my car seat! (yeah, it's a bit freezing cold and wet!) Last Friday I thought I had to be at the Hospital early, to take the splint off my finger but!!!!! it's THIS Friday, (oh poo!) anyway, It got me out~ and I braved it to get to work (which is waaaaaaay out in the sticks and was still frozen white all the way) still, a white road that hardly anyone's driven on wasn't so bad! and the icicles in my car didn't snap off and stab me!

Oh Deanne, I know what you mean on all accounts. Alex is 2.5 and has a stinking cold and gets so tired and moody when he is ill...fortunately he can still go to nursery which helps to take his mind off being ill at least during the day. As far as stubbing toes goes I know how painful that can be...I seem to do that most days too..especially on stair gates! I will be so glad when we can get rid of those gates.

Little toy cars, lego, stickle brinks and construction toys are the worst for standing on! I have done it more times than I care to count. How old is Riley?

Alex is 3 in April! Much the same age so probably much the same issues...pushing boudaries, tantrums, toys to tread on, stair gates to bump into etc!
