Well this Epson SX205 has driven me mad. Do printers drive you mad?? Icon_mad It was working okay and DH suggested we try some compatible inks. Well it was fine for a while but now it keeps telling me it is out of ink when I have put all new cartridges in it. I suspect that the nozzles are blocked which is somemthing that I know can happen when using compatibles.I have even tried putting in some proper Epson inks again but it wont have it. Do printers drive you mad?? Icon_sad All I can say that thank goodness I didn't part with my lovely Cannon MP180 printer that I was always very happy with but DH thought an Epson would be better.Yea right!! Do printers drive you mad?? Icon_evil Well I have sent for inks for my Cannon hoping they will be here monday as I really need to print off some photos so I can scrap again. Then I will be a happy bunny again Do printers drive you mad?? Icon_biggrin .

I have always had Epson printers Julia, but I always stick to the original ink though it is more expensive. There is also the microchip, and I am not sure how good compatibles are at getting that bit right.

Yes I think you can buy a chip resetter but I wouldn't want to get one and find it didn't work as they don't gaurantee that it will. My DD has an epson and uses compatibles and has no problems. So I guess it all depend on which compatibles you use.

I was replying to this yesterday but got rushed and didnt hit the send button lol
I use to have a copier/scanner/printer and for the wedding stationery I was doing at the time i needed to find a printer that would take my cardstock etc so I found the one I wanted a Samsung clp310 laser printer (i believe without getting off my butt to have a look) on ebay brand new for £90 and it was only down the road from me so didnt have to pay postage either Smile
Its brilliant, the colours are so much better on it, but sadly that means i now have no scanner or copier! Sad so no need to go buy a scanner as really need one! (the old one broke)

I did have a seperate scanner and printer but I find the all in one takes up much less space.

I did have a seperate scanner and printer but now use an Epson all in one. I got it because it uses seperate ink cartridges. I also use compatible ink cartridges - they have the chip in them and my printer charges them up as they would an Epson cartidge. Seems to work fine for me and I have been using them for 3 years now.
