1 Challenge 19 on Sun Jan 10, 2010 7:51 am

Happy New Year everyone!

Yes the Quirky Crafts Fortnightly Challenge is back!

This week it is Anne (Chocolate Fudge Cake)’s turn to set the challenge.

Anne has set your theme as...

Yellow

This fortnight we have been very kindly sponsored by our very own, lovely QC member Debbie who most of you will already know is also the owner/designer of “The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs”

Debbie very generously offered one of her Digi download images called “Roshell with Brolley” for the DT to work with and has donated two stamps as a prize for the winner of this fortnights challenge so a big thank you going out to you Debbie!

If you would like to take a look at some of Debbie’s other stamp designs you can find them at The Crafty Pad Stamp Designs website at http://thecraftypadstampdesigns.blogspot.com/

Ok I know you are all wanting to see what the DT have come up with for this one so...

...here are the gorgeous examples from our very own Quirky Crafts Design Team.

First we have our guest designer Debbie who has made this beautiful card using “Roshell with Brolley”

the inside is beautifully decorated too.

Here is Anne's lovely, bright yellow card also featuring "Roshell with Brolley"

Cazzy has made this gorgeous calendar/reminder using Debbie's "Roshell with Brolley”

This is the inside of the Calender/Reminder.

Cazzy has also made this very handsome camel card.

Fe has made two yellow themed cards. One using Debbie's very cute “Roshell with Brolley”

and the other going with more of a yellow flower theme.

Gez has used Debbie's “Roshell with Brolley” to create this rainy day ATC.

Julia has created this very elegant layout for the yellow challenge

Here is Lyn's bright, summery card using Debbie's “Roshell with Brolley”

Lyn has also made a flowery themed yellow card too.

Deannes Mini Easel Card

Please remember you can now make a card, ATC, scrapbook page or altered art project for the challenge, you are not limited to just a card.

You have until 8pm on Sunday 24th January to enter for this challenge to be in with a chance to win the prize. The winner will be picked by the design team member that set the challenge and that person will announce the winner on the Monday after the challenge ends.

Please don't forget you need to post a photo of your project on this thread to be entered.

If you need to upload your projects to the new flickr gallery first the link is below.
**

or you can now use the Quirky Crafts Gallery again as it has been upgraded!

Good luck everyone and we look forward to seeing your entries.

Great projects everyone, Debbie do you see what I mean about great minds thinking alike now? We didn't collaborate on it either.

Julia, having searched everywhere, and only finding a Hallmark free download with Hallmark all over it I finally just created one using Microsoft word, if you would like a copy I can email it to you. It was easier to find a one per month version with every day on it, but I wanted the year on a page.

Fabulous designs everyone - thank you for for what you've done with my challenge. Doesn't Debbie's Roshell go well with the yellow theme? Really great and cheery to start the new year, look forward to seeing what others do with it too.

Happy New Year Everyone!
Here's the link to my Yellow entry. I don't use a lot of yellow, and I hope this isn't stretching the point too much - I've used a dark yellow rather than a bright yellow (the photo makes it look darker than it is, due to the dull light!).
I love the Design Team makes - very bright and cheery!

That's fabulous Pipster. I think there's enough yellow there to qualify. Very Happy

This was a quick and simple notelet to send to a colleague who is having a tough time. It looks better in real life as the colours aren't quite as strange! I used my new mustard seed distressed ink and my Crafty individual stamp in marmalade for the background.

I love your cards Pippa and Caro, both so bright and cheery. How fab that you have both used my favourite stamp designers - Elusive Images (pippa's butterfly) and Caro's background from Crafty Individuals.

Thanks for entering

I made this scrapbook layout this weekend of my childhood (that's me aged 4 in the red swimming costume) and then realised that it fitted with this challenge so thought I would show it to you! I hope you like it.
