1 Arrrrrrggggggh! on Fri Feb 05, 2010 11:47 am

The exhaust has just fallen off my car!

I must admit my car has been making noises for a while and I knew it was going but I was trying to wait until I had a bit more money in the bank to cover it before I took it in. Anyway I phoned up the garage today and booked it in for Monday. Hooray!

Only I went to drive Ellie to her school disco earlier this evening and half way to school my car went from sounding like tractor to sounding like a boy racers car! So we didn't stop at school I just drove round the block and limped it back onto the drive where I heard a dink. Got out and looked under the car and my exhaust is touching the ground. Not good!

I'm going to have to phone the garage tomorrow and see if they can come and collect it on a truck or something. Poor Misty!

ROFLMAO! You are funny Debbie!

I phoned the garage this morning and they've said they can send someone up to collect it on Monday and they'll just take the exhaust off and then drive it to the garage for me (glad it's not me that has to drive it making that racket! lol) and as it was booked in for a service anyway they won't charge me extra. Bonza!

My hubby is laughing at me though because I've just been out and washed Misty for the first time this year. I told him that I couldn't send her to the garage in the state she was in. He's convinced they'll just make her mucky again while fixing her but I said "Well at least she went there clean!" He thinks I'm nuts!

Just hope nothing else needs doing on it too and it's not expensive to fix. Fingers crossed eh?!

What about Ellie, was she fuming at missing the disco? Or did exhaust you with her complaints?

She did still get to go we just walked down instead and she was a bit late. It's just normally she's tired when it's finished so it's easier to come back in the car than listen to her moan all the way home but she was ok this time as she knew there was no choice!

Misty is all fixed now and ready to go over to Yorkshire to visit my Mum on Wednesday. Hooray!

There now, if you had no car she would have to walk all the time!
