Very sad news for Anne (CFC)

Ladies,
Just to let you know that it's with a very sad heart I tell you that Anne's wonderful husband died yesterday. It's been a complete shock to all who knew and loved him.
I wasn't sure whether she was due to submit anything as a DT member so I thought that if I post something then you'll understand not to chase her for anything.
If anyone wants to get in touch or send cards then please PM me and I can pass on her address.

I looked at her blog the other day, so I would gather he was not very old. How very very sad.

Phil was only 39 and it was competely unexpected.
I saw Anne today and she is being very strong but is understandably very shocked.

Thank you ladies for your kind comments and emails and thank you Ellie for letting everyone know why I've not been around.

We had the funeral yesterday and I think we gave him the best send off we possibly could. He is buried in a natural burial ground in a woodland very near to where I live and he was taken there on a tractor and trailer driven by his boss. He had worked on the same farm for over 20 years. We had a short service with his best friend doing an amazing tribute to him, then beer and sandwiches (always a favourite of Phil's) afterwards from the back of his truck. In the evening there was more beer and pizza to watch the England World Cup match in front of this huge new telly Phil had just bought - he was so looking forward to the World Cup!
Although the day was difficult and excrutiatingly painful at times I was surrounded by our families and so many good friends that I had the strength to get through it and appreciate their company - and there were many laughs as we remembered Phil in all his glory!!

I hope soon to be getting back into crafting and will be more about on the forum and challenge blog, but please bear with me a little longer. x

I have been thinking of you Anne, the picture on your blog is just beautiful.

I'm 100% sure you did him proud & that he's watching his footie with his beer & pizza above us all.

Just because we can not see them, talk to them, I feel for sure they are with us, whatever we do, where ever we go, they are making sure we're doing ok.

Please take good care of yourself, you have many wonderful friends & family to help you at this very difficult time on your life.
