Challenge 1 - use the last craft item you bought to make a card

What have you just bought, go on confess! I know we are all addicted. So this Challenge is to make something with the newest addition to your stash. Mine are three Nellie Snellen dies and a Martha Stewart Punch all arrived yesterday, hmmm, will be back with my creation shortly. Here it is:

Mine was a Martha Stewart round the page punch. Will be back soon with something.

Well done Julia, I have been wondering if I would use those but have seen the butterfly one today, gorgeous!

This is a quick card I made using the Martha Stewart round the page Loops punch. It's great for both scrapbooking and cards.I could have made something better if I had put a bit more thought in to it. But you get the idea.

Ooo great idea and love the card Cazzy! The round the page punch looks really interesting Julia, I may have to investigate further and I love the card you made. My latest crafting purchase was some Lavinia stamps. I have been experimenting with brayering backgrounds and so will try the combination together and show you when I get a chance!

I used my new circle punch to punch out the image & make the half circle boarder & I also used my new flower stamp.

I combined this challenge with the quirky crafts challenge this fortnight!

Thanks ladies, Julia that is a pretty card and thanks for showing us the round the page punches which I have been wondering about. Caro, love your card, love those stamps, may just have to get some, oh dear was this a good idea I could end up spending even more....
Would have made another today but have been in bed all day with migraine, maybe after work tomorrow.

Wow - they're all fab. Love the MS punches - the loopy one looks like it ought to have been die cut! Mags you circles are great - are they just the most useful thing, and Caro your brayering has turned out fab and the stamps you've used go so well.

Well as you happened to be asking for cards made with new items, I just happened to have one that I made very quickly on Sunday evening for my Mum & Dad's anniversary today. I used my new Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous sheet of stamps that I managed to pick up for £4.99 - well it would be insane to leave it behind! I do love his stamps but haven't yet plucked up the courage to spend £14 on them - so I snatched this one up.

The last things I bought were this stamp and a paper punch that made the fern leaves for this card.

Lovely card Fe, that stamp is so cute and the paper is pretty. I have that punch or one like it too and it is very versatile.

Cute stamp Fe - and you have just answered one of my big questions!! I have seen those ferns on many peoples cards but never seen them in any of the shops or site that I browse- I never realised it was a punch Where did you get it from because I think they are gorgeous.

Mine is a Martha Stewart punch, I think you can get them from a lot of online sellers now though I think I paid over the odds to get it from the USA.

I got mine from the Harrogate Craft fair but I can't remember which stall it was from. I've just looked at it and it actually says Pine not fern. Whoops! I think Little Claire Designs do a die cut version that's similar that worked out cheaper than buying the punch as the punches are very expensive for what they are, if that helps?!
