Well I guess they keep trying. I once gave my details of insurance dates for the car to Kwik Fit, and every year they ring me to try and sell me insurance. I am not feeling well today, and didn't go to work, so could have done without the 20 question routine, but the quote was nearly £100 cheaper than my renewal.

I told the chap I liked to have something in writing to read and decide, he said it had to be today, the discount only applies today. I said I would think about it and talk to Hubby and ring him back, I'm going at 3 he said. OK I said.

2:30 he rang again, what did hubby think, do you think you will go for it? I said I want to research your feedback online first, I don't like being pressurised.

He said I go at 3, I said I have 20 minutes. I researched and found quite a lot of bad feedback, didn't ring back and surprise surprise just before 4 he rang again. Have you found what you were looking for? I said, I though you had gone at 3, he said oh I had to make a few call backs!

I said I have found quite a lot of bad feedback, and I am not happy to be pressurised into making decisions about anything - on the same day - over the phone and with nothing to read about it. He said I could give you the company name Fortis. I have read they are awful and charge admin for every change you make, don't honour the insurance if you make a change etc, so I am not getting a warm fuzzy feeling about this! 10% off Kwik Fit or no 10% off Kwik Fit, anyway don't like Kwik Fit the garage! affraid

Cazzy, just cut and paste the above into your browser, and you will be directed to telephone preferences, you can stop unwanted or unsolicited calls by just joining the list. If anyone then does call you, you can threaten them with legal action.

Thanks Cass, see my reply to your other post. Unfortunately I once gave Kwik Fit permission to quote me for insurance so they do!

Doesn't matter if you agreed, they can still be stopped thru this service.

Had a phone call from a woman today, she said I understand you still think the price is too high for our insurance. I said no I didn't say that, oh that is why people normally get referred to us to get the price down, so what is the problem? Well there is the fact I don't like being pressurised or lied to, and there is the bad feedback. Can I ask what sort of bad feedback? There are the ones who changed their car or details and then had problems, got charged fees etc, and then there are the ones who had accidents and didn't get the money or not yet. So I may be better off paying the extra and sticking with what I know! I would feel the same she said, so shall I leave it for now, not mark to ring you back? Yes I said, I have the number, if I change my mind I will ring you...
