Stand down, it managed to cook low fat wedges without catching on fire, but since the first one did on its 5th go I am always wary!

... talking of firemen...................... there was an incident at work and the firebrigade were called out!!! I missed it as it was one of my days I don't work!!! Rats!!! What made it worse is that I had to go to the meeting to discuss what had happened, talk about rubbing salt into the wound!!!

That's so unfair and inconsiderate Mum. I think they should do a full re-enactment so that you can see exactly what happened!!!

What is an actifry.... ? Am I missing something in my life?

You so have Cass! An Actifry is a gadget by Tefal that can cook 3% chips with one tablespoon of oil. I sort of asked for it for my last birthday, didn't expect to get it but the family clubbed together for one. Cost about £170

Used it 5 times and it caught fire, this is the replacement which I am very wary of especially as shortly after mine was replaced by local department store it was on Watch Dog but mine caught fire a lot quicker than the one they tested, but there was a family who had two go up. Tefal said it was fine because nobody has died! Also said that it wouldn't start a house fire as it would burn out in the unit first, still not convinced! It was scary, I opened the lid to put a stray chip in and whoosh flames! I shut the lid turned the power off, hubby came out and tried to open the lid and he is supposed to be sensible and trained! I have been trained and know to keep the air out. He then did the next thing you shouldn't and carried it outside and refused to let me call the fire brigade (shame).
