What is going on?

First my new ink storage tin lid has come off completely, I paid £20 plus postage of £5 from someone on UKS and later someone was selling one for £12 later which I wish I bought as well but it went by the time I thought of that.

The one I bought looked a bit battered and had dents, despite her saying she didn't use it as didn't have enough ink pads. It has a wire holding it on, that seems to have got pushed up one end, but I don't know how to fix it at the moment, will have to look closely to see if I can or it has been a total waste of money.

Then today when tidying up I spotted a hinge from the Crafters Companion, they are always coming off despite me never using it, have got the single boards but have been thinking of using it and giving them to my Mum. So I pushed the hinge part back on, then opened the thing up to try and push it so it clicked but instead the whole thing came to bits, every two part hinge came apart and I have had several attempts at putting them back on sneaking up on it from either end, or one end and just as I get the last one on they all fall off again!

Has anyone had this happen?

Nope, but you have just put me off ever buying a crafters companion! What bad luck Cazzy, I hate it when sellers stretch the truth about stuff their selling. Hope you manage to solve the puzzle, tho I'd be tempted to send the companion back.

The only problem is I have had it for years, and got it as a subscription gift to either Crafts Beautiful or Quick and Crafty. I may try contacting them for advice though, you never know there may be a faulty batch they already know about.

Well the good news is for now my son has fixed the Tim Holtz one, don't know how long it will hold. It looks like they may have bodged it to look alright to sell but the lid was always warped, and it was difficult to close, should have realised then it wasn't right but it was when I bought a new small one to go with it that it was obvious the other one wasn't how it should be.

maybe you should contact the one on UKS Cazzy and state whats gone wrong! sometimes some people need to bed pulled up about these things. Craft stuff costs us all so much money as it is, so its annoying when someone who crafts also thinks they can rip you off!
