Enjoy your weekend Deanne! I haven't got anything planned as such but I must get my post done for IACW. I am really late getting it done this month. Got a pile of ironing to do and get myself organized as we are going away on thursday for a week with Andy's sister in Burford. Looking forward to that as well as a quick visit to DD Sandie as well.

I have an extended weekend this weekend. I had to work bank holiday Monday so my boss said I could take a day that suited me. Phil has been working every weekend (and most days) for weeks now and was supposed to be off on Friday, so I booked that day. Then he had to work after all, I took the day off anyway as I had shopping and stuff to do to get ready to go on holiday next week. So I had a lovely day shopping, without having to rush anywhere else - what a lovely change. I bought some lovely clothes for my hol, (oh and a Xyron create-a-sticker for sticking the letters created with my Sizzix!). I then pottered round the house and we had a take-away curry last night. He is now off all weekend (don't remember the last time this happened) so we're happily relaxing. He doesn't want the hoover going - but is quite happy for me to craft! (what more can I ask for?)

Everybody sounds like they have some good stuff planned. I need to catch up on my washing and ironing since we've had no electricity for the past two days.

Ellie had her first swimming lesson with a new teacher today. She used to go to the leisure centre in town but they are useless. If you aren't there on the day they give the next enrollment slips out, they don't post them out to you or phone you, they just take your child's name off the list. Then when the kids go back and you realise you've missed re-enrollment you then have to spend ages trying to sort it out.

Add to that the fact that at the moment there are road works everywhere here and trying to get into the centre of town to the leisure centre is a nightmare anyway. It normally takes about 10 mins but last Friday it took us 30mins and most of that was just sitting in traffic. So when we eventually got there last Friday and they said that Ellie had been taken off the list again... well I saw red and decided to find somewhere else for her to go swimming.

Anyway, I know that the gym I go to does kids swim lessons on a weekend so I phoned up and they said Ellie could go today at 12.30pm. The difference is unbelievable. The guy Andy who is taking the class is brilliant. He had them all laughing and giggling. It looked like they were having loads of fun (the instructor included) which is what swimming should be about not just passing to the next level which is all they seem to care about at the leisure centre. They really are a bunch of miserable buggers down there. Ellie loved it at the new one and can't wait to go again next week. I'm really pleased. Roll on next Saturday! Crafty Morning and Weekend! I lazed this morning did a bit of the dreaded you know what, then went into town to have my hair trimmed and to get a few things. Missed out on a trip to HobbyCraft that Hubby didn't tell me he was planning, but he didn't go either so it might happen one evening or next week.

I am on my own tomorrow, so can decide on the ironing mountain or crafting! I'm glad you got Ellie's swimming sorted out, does Josh swim?

He swims really well Cazzy but he stopped having lessons a while ago. He had a one to one lessons when he first started but then they said he had to go in a group but they'd have someone in the water with him for extra support. Then that went too and he was just struggling too much without the support and starting hating it so we let him stop going. Peej was taking him on a Sunday morning for a while but even that fizzled out. He has got a free pass for the leisure centre and I have suggested he and a few mates go after school on a Friday and I'll pick him up afterwards but he keeps forgetting to ask them.

That is a shame, I hope he does remember to ask his mates and get back to it.

This weekend I am finishing off the Christmas Gift tags for the swap and making a new bookmark in cross stitch.
Hubby will be watching F1 whilst I sort out the cross stitch chart.
I am also planning what to do in the garden for next year as it is a bit of a jungle this year as I was out of action and nothing much got done in the garden as a result.

I think we are going to Hobbycraft tomorrow, he wants to look at train sets! Then he said we could go to my favourite Chinese restaurant on Sunday (trying to make up for Exeter perhaps?), might ask Mum and Dad if they want to come to both. Hobbycraft is near Cribbs Causeway shopping mall and they have never managed to go there.

Apart from that there is the growing pile of ironing, the cleaning, the washing............................
