Challenge 4

I thought I'd post this one a little bit earlier as we're hopefully going to a Duck Race this afternoon and I'm not sure what time we're going to get back.

So this weeks challenge is....


A Sketch.


Cazzy has done this lovely blue bird Father's Day card following the sketch.


I have used the sketch to make a Thank You card. Well actually it says "Danke" which is German for thank you.

Deanne's card is very hot and summery

I love your card Fe, I'm not so happy with mine but I may try and do another one if I have the energy.

Thanks Deanne, that is nice and bright and cheerful, I love the polka dot ribbon. I am quite new to following sketches, don't know what I can get away with changing really. I know you can turn the design around 90 degrees.

As long as people can see its roughly the sketch then you can do what you like for example where i've put my ribbon you could also put a cardstock or a line of buttons etc, you can layer all different size cards on foam pads, just because its a circle doesnt mean you have to have a circle, like i've added a bloom, the circle could just represent an embellishment but then you could follow the sketch to the T like you and Fe and they are ubber gorgeous too xx
lol and i've just noticed I've slipped up, i quickly drew the sketch and took it into the kitchen to copy from and i've added my orange card within the yellow card whereas it should be (by the sketch) just off it, sowwy, but you can still tell its the sketch

I think you've both done a fabulous job on the sketch.

As Deanne says Carol, you can play around with the sketch as much as you like, you can flip it, mirror image it, turn it 90 degrees or 180 degrees as long as you can still recognise the sketch in your interpretation then that's ok.

Do we have any more takers for the sketch?

Okaaaaay!! So I've now made a card using the sketch. the task at hand is now adding it Here goes LOL.

Well it is here but got to now fathom how to put it in the gallery!!!

Great cards. Looks a fabby sketch. Will try & have a go at weekend.xx

I made another card for this challenge just to show that you can play around with the sketch a little.

This time I have turned the sketch 180 degrees, used an oval for the image instead of the circle and I've played around with the three circles in the top left hand corner (now my bottom right) so that they are not in a straight line as on the sketch.


It would be great to see some more interpretations of the sketch.

Very nice Fe. I wonder if it would be an idea to do a post on how to use sketches, I know Deanne replied to me on this one but I think it would encourage or help people join in if there was a sort of tutorial on sketches. You could use the cards on here as examples.

It is a lovely image isn't it Deanne! Sadly it isn't one I own, it is one a friend stamped out for me and I think I only have one or two left now.

That's a good idea Cazzy I'll do that.

Beautiful cards Cazzy, Fe & Deanne - but I can't help loving Fe's Sarah Kaye cards - I can't wait to get hold of some of those stamps.
