I can't live without my metal ruler and craft knife - only way I can guarantee a straight line. And now I've go my glass cutting mat, it's sooooo easy!!
Fe I have the same problem with a rotary trimmer too - I thought i was just being useless - but it seems not.
I have tried a few trimmers before the current one, this is the best. The paper or card sometimes slipped in other trimmers but this one is dangerous to change the blades, can't have everything!

i use a small x cut trimmer that i use all the time. For larger projects i have a guillotine/rotary cutter 2 in 1 thing. Thats ok. I also have an inbetween sized rotary trimmer by Purple Cow, but it dont seen to cut straight.
