I thought perhaps that I would upload another challenge for everyone - I realise that not everyone has or wants to alter dominoes. Smile Smile

So this challenge is to alter something glass - a jar, drinking, glass, perfume bottle etc, etc.

Here are a few examples of:-

A drinking glass made into vase - I painted this with acrylic paint and sprayed with adhesive and rolled in fine glitter.

Another drinking glass - I have use alcohol inks on this one and 3d pearl paint. I have filled it with coloured sand and added nightlight so it can be used. I have finished it off with ribbon and charm. Smile

Here is a perfume bottle I have altered - again used alcohol inks, glitter, bling, fether and flower to decorate. Smile

This one was a face cream jar, I used alcohol inks again, loosely wrapped cotton wool in scrap material which I painted with acrylic paint and adhered to inside of jar. Used ribbon to decorate and added wording around jar. Smile

Hope this gives you all a nice mixture to get your creative jusices flowing..Smile Smile

The challenge is open of course - no end date really, so just jump in when you can. Smile Smile

Post a wee pic up here if you do join in please. Smile Smile

WOW they are amazing Debbie
Ok now for the non artist in the group to post her attempt. Trust me compared to what you have done these are so lame. I made the one with sand in to hold incense sticks and the other one for a candle. I don't have any inks except for the ones for stamping. So I used acrylic paint, at a distance they look better but like I said I am no artist so don't expect too much will you. Embarassed

Are you ready? Here goes nothing

I love nature and decided to make something I could use that reflects nature. I love using insence and candles so made these for that purpose.

Thanks Very Happy I painted them myself free hand. I go with simple as I am hopeless at drawing. Acrylic paint works well on glass I may do this again on some more jars to use in the garden for candles. You can snuff the candle by covering the jar with the lid and leaving it to go cold before touching it. They get rather hot so if there are children around make sure they can not get to them.

Paula, they are gorgeous. I agree with Debbee when she says don't underestimate yourself - these are beautiful. I might copy your idea for using them in the garden.

Well I have had a go and alcohol inked an old glass. I have used yellow and blue and a dab of gold, with some drops of gold into the bottom of the glass and swirled round to cover the bottom of the inside. I have posted it in the QC group on Flickr - see the link below.
