I like to use digital stamps but find colouring them with copic pens a challenge as they do have a tendency to smudge the printer ink. Can anyone reccommend a paper where once printed upon this wont happen?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I found some info on another website for you which has the following sugestions:
There are several methods you can use so that the ink doesn't smear when you color them in:

- Heat as soon as it comes off of the printer.

- You can use a sealant spray to keep the ink from smearing. I never really had a problem with smearing so I don't know what to recommend. I think there is a special spray you can buy for inkjet printer ink.

- There is a product called Microglaze that is a pasty substance that you rub over the image once it comes off of the printer and you can color in the images using Copics.

- Many have been successful using special photo ink to print off images.

Hope one of those suggestions works.

We have a inkjet printer & I haven't found any problems colouring digi downloads with Copics as long as I use bright white coated cardstock. The 'coated' bit is the important bit!

Hope this helps.xx

Thanks for your answers, the "coated" cardstock sounds just the thing Gez, do you have a brand name or a place where I can purchase it?
Deanne, I got rid of my lazer printer as I thought it was to expensive to run and they are so bulky too but I will keep that in mind ( maybe borrow my friends) too.

Hi Canne

The brand I use is Ryman's bright white coated card. It costs about £5.99 for 50 sheets.

The do have an online store but I'm not sure if they stock it. Ryman's Stationers is the name of the company they seem to be in most large towns/cities. We don't have one where I live but there is one in a nearby city. They took over the shop owned by Stationery Box not sure if that might be a common pattern in other towns. If that helps.

I've just had a thought if you would like to pm me your addy I can send you a couple of sheets to try & then you can see what you think.xx
