I'm doing a card for a friend whose husband is in the RAF.
I have come up with the card below (an aperture card with the plane suspended from an acetate strip) which I'm really pleased with but am really stuck as to how to decorate the front of the card. I don't want to detract from the plane but don't want it to be too plain either.
Any ideas.....

I agree with Deanne.

Or you could put a thin strip of dotty paper or ribbon down the left hand side and then have the sentiment coming off it on a tag?
Or forget the strip and just put a tag with the sentiment on it at the bottom?
How about a stamped border either all the way around or just across the top and the bottom?

You don't want clouds outside as well as inside, how about some flying birds? Or a nice piece of gold or blue braid down one side? With a greeting perhaps it would be enough.

Or you could do the inside of a plane, so you look through the aperture which is the plane window and see another plane.

Or two small children looking up at the plane from their garden.

How about a RAF symbol somewhere...I would keep the outside relatively simple though so you don't detract from the plane.

Good idea Chooks, you probably didn't notice. You could do it as a tutorial on the tutorial thingy on here, would be a nice one.

Thank you all so much for this advice!
Cazzy - I loved the idea of making the front of the card as if it's the inside of an aircraft but my drawing skills just aren't up to that!! Card help! Icon_lol
I think I've gone for a combination of everyone's ideas - the chalk and cloud suggestion made me think about a "cloudy" font so thanks Chooks.
I just hope he likes it now!
