Uploading Photos

As your all aware due to gallery size on the forum all photos are really to go into the flickr gallery (please see Gallery topic for details)
For challenges on the forum we can upload photos to the thread with no limit on space
What you need to do is host your photo on something like photobucket upload your photo to there and then you need to copy the 'direct link' image code and paste that into the image icon on here which is situated next to the link bar.
Your photo may go to the top of your message, if it does just double click on it and drag it to where you want it within your message.
Please have your photo cropped to the size of approx 400 this way it can be seen on the whole post and you dont have to scroll through your photo to see it Again you crop and edit on photobucket too

Yes please share them with us, you can either pop them on the flickr gallery and tell us here, and when you open a photobucket account, its free, and really easy to use you can post them on the thread too hope that helps x

It is easy and free to join Flickr Gez, I did it ages ago to go on the Hero Arts Blog, hence the different name!

I thought I was uploading to here last night but my pictures went to some where called servimg, but I've deleted it now

I have photo bucket...but will it let me put it on here? lets see

now you've got photobucket, all you do is copy the html for the direct link and then paste it the green box to the left of the chain link in the icons above (if you hover over it it says insert url) press ok and your picture will appear here in the message,
post your pic in the necessary thread for card, scrapbook, atc etc whichever one you are replying to with your creation

sorry about that! I had two windows open so I could read what you said as I did it, and uploaded to the wrong one! I used the 'green window' before but it went to that other site..(serimg) I lov blogging, you can travel around the world at a click!

I've read the rules...but since my last post on this page I've found the gallery, with people's cards and things...I pressed a button and it said 'Personal album of Spyder', which of course is empty....so where does or what does one press to upload the photo's, as others have? I've got photo bucket...but there's nowhere I can see where I can even link that. All that's here is Jump to: then..select a forum.
It maybe because I'm using Google Chrome, I've found it blocks out things on other forums! There's no image or picture to press, as there is here, where I'm typing this, which I have used before and uploaded a pic on the post...but I want to upload it in the gallery...

The forum did start off with a gallery, but it quickly became full and Deanne would have to pay to get more room so she has set up a flickr group where you are very welcome to add photos and the galleries on the forum are closed. You do need to join Flickr, and all the details are in the gallery thread on here. Let me know if you need more info.

No not this time! I don't have many photos I would be prepared to put on the forum, the other one is on my blog and some other forums. Will have to get a new one, maybe from the wedding!

Sorry to be dim; I've loaded all my card photos into Photobucket, but I can't see a green button which says "url link". There's one which says "image", and one which says "host an image", but they seem to relate to the message I'm writing now. There doesn't seem to be any way of linking into the gallery section. I've never done anything like this before, and am a bit of a techno-phobe, so could you give very basic instructions please? Thanks

Hi Pip, you can't load into the gallery as it wasn't big enough.

You can add a photo to a post, there is a button that looks like a photo at the top, and you need to go to your image in Photobucket, right click and copy image location, then reply or create a new post, and press the photo button and paste into the box, and it should load.

Let me know if you need more detailed help.

Oho yes, Ummm I would say use the Image button next to the 'link button, cos when I used 'host an image' my picture went to another website called...can't remember! sorry. Anyway...I've just pressed the 'Image' button and you get(well I do) a link button...so if I put the link address for my picture in there, it should load? Yes... Just to see..... no.... it didn't
