Sorry I've been a bit absent this week. The kids are on half term and it is my daughter's 6th Birthday on Sunday and I have been trying to get everything ready for her party.

The house has been scrubbed and cleaned and had the paint work touched up. The grass has been mown and the path swept and a bit of weeding has been done!

I've wrapped two pass the parcels and made a shed load of buns (which is major for me has I normally don't do baking!) and now I think I'm just about ready.

My Dad and his wife are coming over tomorrow along with my brother, his fiance and her daughter Chloe. So I'm in for an action packed weekend. bounce

I'll pop in when I can over the weekend but I promise normality will resume again next week. Well as normal as I get anyway! Rolling Eyes

Any left?! Are you mad?! If the kids don't eat them all Peej will! LOL!
Thanks for the well wishes for the party Gez and Debbie. If the weather stays like it has been today it should be lovely. Plus my Mum is coming over for it too which is always a bonus! Very Happy

I must say that it sounds a bit extreme to go round touching up the paintwork ready for a party! Also you may need to redo that after a house full of 6 year olds run rampaging through your house Fe!

No running rampage in my house Cazzy. LOL! Ellie's parties are always very organised and controlled. I've worked with kids all my life I used to be a nanny and a nursery nurse and a non-teaching assisstant in a school and I've also been a registered childminder too so I'm well trained in keeping them all in check. Very Happy
The painting and stuff is more because when you have people coming you tend to notice how dirty and scruffy your house really is. Like the handprints down the walls on the stairs and the mucky streaks under the window ledge in the living room where the dog puts his paws up to look out of the window etc. So Peej just went round with the paint brush and touched up all the grubby bits. (It was more for family and the parents visiting than the kids!!) lol!

You know I am pulling your leg I hope, I go as far as extra cleaning but haven't resorted to the paint brush yet! lol! lol! lol! Mind you all my lot are round at my son's first house which is now nearly all redecorated, cleaned, and insulated in the loft, he will soon have a shed, and will be getting a new kitchen and bathroom then moving out on his 31st birthday! All the family has been helping and his and my other son's girlfriends, even my parents.
